Originally called Wildwood Farm, Canterbury Village was started as a Black Angus cattle ranch by William E. Scripps. In 1967, the farm was sold to Howould Keating Jr. who developed Keatingtons Antique Village. Sadly during the economic downturn in the 1980s, the Village closed and the buildings and land were neglected.
In 1991, Stan Aldrige bought the property and updated all the facilities. Renamed Olde World Canterbury Village, the property now has multiple stores, restaurant, banquet facilities and activities. A favorite is Yates Cider Mill, located on the premises.
